We pick the most belly-fattening foods as their first choice. Yes, we just can't resist just the sight of it.
Let us look at some of the foods that we love to eat:
•Beer: A big paunch is nicknamed "beer belly" not without reason. Regular beer drinkers will find their bellies leading them in no time. Beer is a favorite evening beverage for most men and women. However, they should be aware that waist measurements above 40 inches could put them at risk of developing heart disease, diabetes, stroke, as well as some types of cancer.
•Potato Chips: Just 15 chips will give you 160 calories, and everyone knows that one whole giant-sized bag of potato chips can vanish in no time! And since these chips are stocked in an easily-accessible way in shops and supermarkets, it becomes a convenience buy too. This is the best time-pass snack anyone can think of.
•French Fries: Another common and popular pastime happens to be binging on French fries. Who can resist fries dipped in a variety of sauces! However, potatoes provide extra starch, and frying these potatoes will only increase their trans-fatty content, making the person susceptible to a variety of cardiac problems.
•Aerated Drinks: We tend to down sodas and other aerated drinks, may be because they go well with alcoholic drinks or it sort of becomes a compulsion with those evening nibbles and stomach-filling snacks. These also make for good refreshment before meetings and presentations, or for just chilling the throat now and then.
•Giant Burgers: When it comes to burgers, the bigger the better, right? TV ads of McDonald's and KFC makes you believe so. These ads do attract men to the giant-sized burgers, loaded with cheese slices, fried potatoes, and mayonnaise. The freshness and goodness of fresh lettuce just drowns in these other flavors! On top of it, these savory foods make you crave for aerated drinks, further increasing your calorie intake.
•Coffee/Tea: With unlimited tea and coffee available in offices through the coffee vending machines and the stock of tea bags, men have got into the habit of consuming a number of cups of coffee and tea. This carries the risk of consuming unhealthy amounts of caffeine as well as sugar, which could result in weight gain.
•Pizza: How about some pizza to accompany the beer. Wow! What else could one ask for? These cheese-topped yummy delicacies could be your favorite choice for business lunches, light outings with friends and family, or to eat while your favorite cricket or soccer is going on in TV. However, you should be aware that pizzas are made of refined flour and when topped with cheese could become a deadly combination for your belly.
Belly fat is always dangerous. Reduce it and keep it on mark to have a healthy life...

Healthy Skin from our Kitchen items
You've been out all day; your face is tanned, dark and tired. Your eyes are puffy and tired after hours at work.
With a glam party to attend in a couple of hours, what do you do when aren't exactly looking like lady-killer material or a handsome guy? By using these readily available kitchen products, you can spruce up your appearance within minutes.
Curd/Yogurt: Removing tan and soothing sunburn: Apply a little homemade curd on the affected areas of the skin. It will not only help in soothing the sun burn but will also clear away the tan. Do not use curd if you have oily or sensitive skin.
Lemon juice & glycerin: Removing tan and to improve fairness: While curd works well to remove tan, it's not a good option for facial skin that's sensitive, oily or susceptible to acne. It is a better option for acne ridden skin is to apply lemon juice mixed with glycerin. The mixture should be strictly on a 50-50 basis. Add equal amounts of lemon juice and glycerin, apply it on the face and keep it for 15 -20 minutes, and then wash it off with cold water.
Cucumber: tired eyes and dark circles: Tired and puffy eyes make you look overworked and fatigued. So while a good long nap would be a great idea, one of the best possible quick fix solutions would be to place a slice of cucumber on each eye and relax for a 20 -25 minutes.
Tea bags: puffy eyes: Another very effective way of making tired, sore eyes sparkle with energy is to soak a tea bag in lukewarm water for a few minutes and then place one on each eye. Leave them there for about 20 minutes.
Coriander Leaves: lips: Massaging your lips with the juice of Coriander leaves (dhania) will makes your lips rosy and soft.
Honey and olive oil: hair conditioner: Make a smooth paste by mixing two spoonfuls of fresh honey with a single spoon of olive oil. Massage into your hair, starting with the roots and ending with the tips of your hair. Then, keep your hair covered with a shower cap and let the mixture seep in deep into your scalp. After 20 minutes, use a gentle herbal shampoo to rinse off the mixture.

How to improve the Relationship with In-Laws?
When you said ‘Yes' and got married to your spouse, you would not have realized that you were saying ‘Yes' to your in-laws also to be in your life. Actually, your in-laws come with the package.
It is good if you have a good relationship with your spouse but that doesn't mean you will automatically always have a good relationship with your in-laws too. Some may have a good relationship with their in laws but some relationships just will not work unless you really make an effort to improve them. Developing a good relationship with your in-laws is critical to overall harmony in your relationship.
Here are some helpful ways to improve the relationship with your in-laws:
*Realize that you cannot change your in-laws' behavior. You can only change your reaction to their behavior. Accept them as they are. Focus on what you can do to improve relationships, not on what you think others should be doing for you.
*If there is an argument between your spouse and your in-laws, you stay out of it. This is a problem between them and they will sort that out themselves. There are chances that you will put an even greater strain on your relationship with your in-laws if you choose to take sides.
*Let your spouse discuss any difficult subjects with his or her own family, as he/she is in charge of managing that relationship. But, let your partner know that you are there to sort out his/her feelings and that you will help him/her come out with strategies to deal with parents. This includes things like holiday plans, how to raise your children, etc.
*Try to discover your mother and father-in-law's likes and dislikes. Spend some quality time with them to understand them better and you may have some things in common. Order or cook a nice meal all on your own for them on special occasions like anniversary or birthdays. If they are away, call them home for lunch/dinner or make a phone call just to catch up. Just make them feel special.
*Respect your in-laws; after all they are your spouse's parents, whom you should treat like your own parents. Even if you cannot agree with your in-laws on any topic whatsoever, you can always respect their right to have their own opinions. Maintain open and honest communication. If something offensive is said by an in-law tactfully express how that comment made you feel.
*If you feel you are betraying your parents by getting more close to your in laws, you are wrong. You are not doing anybody wrong by loving both the families. This will only increase the bonding between the two families and improve the relationship you have with your spouse.
Ask your spouse for their advice. After all, who better to help you understand your in-laws than your spouse? You and your spouse can definitely have a wonderful relationship with each of your in- laws. In-law relationships can bring much joy and wisdom to your family if boundaries are established and everyone's feelings and viewpoints are understood and kept in mind.

Are You Stressed Out?
In a person's life, stress is unfortunately very common. The combined pressures of family, work, finances and other challenges are sometimes more than individuals can rationally deal with. This has many negative consequences on your health and well-being. Rather than turning to unhealthy habits such as alcohol or nicotine to cope with stress, educate yourself about healthy stress relievers.
Exercise: It helps your body burn off excess adrenaline and channels the energy stress creates into a healthy venue. Schedule a time to exercise at least 30 minutes a day. Join a gym, or find friends to walk or bike with.
Hobbies: Find things you enjoy doing, and schedule them into your day. Activities that encourage you to be creative tend to be more relaxing. It helps you work out stress and frustration. Gardening, woodwork, knitting and painting are all fantastic hobbies. Avoid activities that can foster unhealthy habits such as video games.
Time for yourself: Although there's always one more thing to do, it's important to schedule time for yourself. Go for a relaxing walk in a park. Curl up and read a fun book.
Atmosphere: Avoid bringing the rushed, noisy world into your life. Try switch off the TV, and choose soothing, quiet music. Create a suitable ambience.
Friends: Although friends can sometimes be a source of stress, the right ones can also often be a wonderful way to relieve stress. Take advantage of the support and encouragement friends can bring.
Sleep: The simple act of getting adequate rest is a fantastic way to relieve stress. Make sure your schedule fits in proper sleep time.
Learn to say no: It is difficult, but it's one of the most helpful ways of relieving stress. Rather than accepting unnecessary burdens, develop the habit of first assessing whether this is an activity or duty that will add to your stress. When setting limits with friends, family or employers, be polite but firm.
De-stressing is an important aspect of maintaining good health. Don't neglect, start now!

Self medicine
Cetirizine, the medicine that we usually consume for cold, itchy nose and watery eyes. This drug is very useful for all the above symptoms and we all have observed quick results. Some of us have even made it a habit to take cetirizine as and when we are just arriving at the symptoms of cold.
But have we thought can it cause any side effects? And how worst or light it can be?
Uses: This medication is an antihistamine that treats symptoms such as itching, runny nose, watery eyes, and sneezing from "hay fever" and other allergies. It is also used to relieve itching from hives.
Cetirizine does not prevent hives or prevent/treat a serious allergic reaction (e.g., anaphylaxis).
Dosing: Cetirizine should be taken at doses specifically directed by a physician.
Side Effects:
•Sleepiness occurs in 14% of patients.
•Dry mouth, nausea, headache, fatigue, jitteriness and sore throat are infrequently reported with cetirizine.
•In children, stomach pain and vomiting may occur.
•A very serious allergic reaction to this drug is rare. However, seek immediate medical attention if you notice any symptoms of a serious allergic reaction, including: rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness and any trouble breathing.
If you are self-treating with this medication, it is important to read the manufacturer's package instructions carefully so you know when to consult your doctor or pharmacist. (See also precautions section).
It is always advised to consult a doctor and get a prescription before you decide to consume the drug.
Always remember self medication is a crime!

YOGA
Mindful eating such as dieting, counting calories and limiting portion sizes and along with it regular exercises are the skills that augment the usual approaches to your weight loss.
Why don't you break your routine and try out something different? I would suggest you to try yoga as added ingredient to the list to keep your weight in check.
Here are a few lists of postures in yoga for weight management. These poses are meant not only to keep a check on your weight but calm the mind and align the internal systems of the body.
Sun Salutations (Surya Namaskar)
Sun salutations are a great way to get your blood pumping at the beginning of a yoga workout. Sun salutations warm up your body to help increase flexibility and strength.
Chakra Padasana
Chakra Padasana, also known as Leg Rotation pose is an easy asana that you can master with some practice. This asana helps to burn fat from thighs, belly, and hips and around your abdominal region. This asana can be performed with one leg or with both the legs. You will have to make sure to rotate your legs clockwise as well as anticlockwise while performing this asana.
Trikonasana
Trikonasana is also known as Triangle poses. It not only helps build strength but also helps remove tension and gives your body the adequate amount of stretch. You will need a great sense of balance as well as coordination in order to carry out this asana.
Vinyasa and Ashtanga yoga is a vigorous athletic style of practice and is very popular. It helps to increase physical activity and burn calories, while the other forms of yoga might as well help reduce overeating caused by stress or anxiety.
For those of you, just starting an exercise program, practicing yoga might function as a gentle introduction to physical activity. Before considering an alternative weight loss and management therapy such as yoga, first consult a physician or a yoga instructor!

Weight loss
Weight gain is a universal problem faced by millions worldwide. The best way to ensure weight loss is to understand your own body's needs and lifestyle.
The metabolic rate is the one that helps your body to burn calories. Very few people have a fast metabolism and overweight individuals generally have slow metabolism. However a faster metabolism will enable you to level your diet and weight. The intensity, frequency and duration of any activity all also have an effect on metabolism.
The essential 4 things, you should know to pep up your metabolic rate are listed below:
1.Eat Small frequent meals- Healthy good diet will help to speed up your metabolism. It is important to never skip a meal or go on any type of starvation diet. You should always eat healthy snacks between meals. Self-improvement
Self-improvement is a self-guided improvement economically, intellectually or emotionally often with a substantial psychological basis. There are many different self-help movements and each has its own focus, techniques, associated beliefs, proponents and in some cases, leaders.
Here are few steps:
1.Sleepless: sleep will relax only if it is limited; more than 6-8 hours of sleep can lead to laziness.
2.Set aside 15 minutes for yourself daily. Most of us in our busy schedule forget many things; these 15 minutes can make us rejuvenate ourselves.
3.Meditate for sometime: meditation can make us feel calm and cool. A way to get back to think what we wanted and are we reaching towards it.
4.Laugh: laughing makes us healthier and looks beautiful. Laugh will make us stress out our angry and will decrease our negative traits.
5.Set aside Sunday for your family. This will make the people who stay with you happy and express your care to them.
6.Never discuss you personal things in front of anyone, it may be money or relationships. It may create a gossip about you, without your knowledge.
7.Be the number one supporter to your spouse or your family. This will make them feel protected.
8.Empty your brain cups, then only you can fill in what others say. Listening will make you more perfect, there might be things could you learn.
9.Never argue. This can only result in conflicts.
10.Accept others as they are, this will make your life easy.
Self improvement is the best improvement!
